Following a background in hospitality and customer service, I spent 5 years gaining experience in all aspects of the prompting industry; from news to business messaging, light entertainment to corporate video.   

Highlights included being selected as the 'go-to' teleprompt technician in Europe for U.S TV anchors Dan Rather (CBS News) & Peter Jennings (ABC World News), covering breaking stories such as the fall of the Berlin Wall, the Summit at Sea in Malta between President George Bush Snr & President Mikhail Gorbachev, and filming live at the Vatican in Rome for an interview with Pope John Paul 11... truly memorable experiences! 

I was Production Assistant, Autocue Technician and 'Fixer' on a year-long series of film shoots for a major pharma company which involved travelling in a 4-seater aircraft to various European locations, spent time at Sky News in its infancy, and also worked on some of the first G7 Summits, Microsoft, TechEd and IBM global events.

I then realised a gap in the market for a professional, reliable and personalised ‘full-service’ autocue company and went on to form Ace Teleprompt & Production Services in late 1993. 

Since then, we have provided worldwide multi-sector coverage to NFP charities and public service organisations, financial institutions FMCG's, automotive, consulting, oil & gas, tech and utilities, as well as the main political parties, Government and members of the Royal Family.  Pre-Covid, in an average year, we were supplying camera teleprompt and live event autocue for:

Meanwhile, over the past few months we have been extremely fortunate to have worked on some really exciting virtual events.  This looks to continue, blending virtual with live to create new style hybrid events and we relish the opportunity to be a part of this emerging trend.

All this certainly keeps our technicians very busy - who are chosen as much for their patience, personality & stamina as for their tech, grammar and language skills and are trained by me to deliver an exemplary level of customer service.

Complementing our core business, we also offer an on-site production support service including show calling and client/talent liaison, and have developed an autocue presentation skills training module which can be tailored to your individual requirements.
